West End was formed in 2005, with an aim to provide talented local footballers with an opportunity to compete at a good level of football.
West End were first a group of friends, family and work colleagues who used to gather at regents park for a game of footy every sunday.
They felt that they had a rather strong group of players and felt they were ready for high level competitive football, therefore entering the West End Amature Football Association, wich is a saturday league.
The experience within the team varies from ages 12 up to 30, and a number of players have competed in the
Channel S cup, organised by Channel S, in association with the Bangladesh Football Association (BFA), and Sonali othit, which was televised.
The club would like to promote the local talent in the area, and we are keen for our under 14 and 15 squads to perform well in their first season, september 2006. |
